By hosting a fundraising event you can have a great time with your friends and coworkers and make a big difference in the lives of students studying science in developing coutries.
Delivery of science education to the students of developing countries is one of the best ways to alleviate poverty and foster development.
Some ideas for fundraising events:
Consider partnering with your favorite restaurant or local bar. Many times they will bend over backwards to work with groups who want to have parties on a normally slow nights.
The goal might be as modest as collecting enough for basic supplies (about $200), the full development and publishing of a first edition science book ($7,000), up to supporting the creation of a new science center ($25,000+).
Village Science can help with evites and invitations. We have promotional materials about the organization and what a difference the donation will make.
